Through caricatures we constructed obnoxious faux personas. In appropriating the cultural aesthetics, objects and practices of skate we could parade as skaters. The objective truth did not matter in comparison to the will of our conviction. It was true because we made it so. In turn, we forced open a space in which to exist in a scene that did not want nor care for our existence by embellishing a narrative that did.
